All around South East Asia, and particularly in the countrysides, we observed that the waste collection and treatment is a major problem. People perhaps don’t realize that a small piece of plastic is taking approximatively 100 years to disappear. It is not only an issue for the nature, but also for the wildlife there.

That is why at Mulberry Boutique Hotel, we believe that the environmental conservation is primordial. We aim to reduce our plastic consumption to 95% in the whole property. We thought it would be a great opportunity to join the Refill Not Landfill Campaign, which have shown a great example in the Tourism Industry and expanding rapidly.

Starting today, no more plastic bottles in our rooms. All of them will be equipped with those cosy reusable aluminum bottles, and they will be provided for free to each of our lovely clients. They will be refilled everyday by our staff, but it is also possible to ask to get them refilled at our Lounge Bar, or at our Reception.

If you are willing to know more about the Refill Not Landfill campaign, follow the arrows! The initiative was born in Cambodia but they also provide aluminium bottles in Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Thaïland, and more. They have 600+ registered refill stations all over South East Asia!
